Filmmaker Joshua Dylan Mellars Feted at 30th Wine Country Film Festival in California
California’s Wine Country Film Festival feted director Joshua Dylan Mellars at a special event the evening of Saturday, September 24 during the festival’s 30th edition.
As part of the “Salute and Film Program,” the festival screened seven films directed by Mellars, including independent dramas Shakespeare in the Shadows and The Land of Nod as well as PBS station KRCB produced social documentary Building a Better Society.
The screening was followed by a Q&A with the director and his creative collaborator, producer Sofia Englund.
The Wine Country Film Festival previously honored Mellars with a Distinguished Cinema Artist Award during its 25th edition in 2011.
