Filmmaker Joshua Dylan Mellars is a seven-time San Francisco Emmy-nominated television producer. His films Shakespeare in the Shadows and Play Like a Lion are airing on PBS stations across the US and Canada.
Mellars has produced a diverse body of television work for PBS station Northern California Public Media, which broadcasts to the San Francisco Bay Area. He has also contributed to NHK World-Japan’s environmental series “Zeroing In: Carbon Neutral 2050” and Portugal’s RTP.
The filmmaker served two terms on the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), San Francisco/Northern California chapter’s Board of Governors.
