“The Spanish Gardener” Airing on PBS in the San Francisco Bay Area
The Spanish Gardener, produced by Joshua Dylan Mellars for PBS station KRCB, is now airing on television and available for streaming.
The documentary recently premiered at California’s Wine Country Film Festival as part of a program of the filmmaker’s latest work. The soundtrack was performed by renowned classical guitarist George Sakellariou.
Over forty years, nursery owner Polo de Lorenzo created a rare and alluring garden in Sebastopol, California inspired by childhood memories of the lush botanical garden in his native Canary Islands. The Spanish born gardener has also observed signs of a changing climate.
