The area around Sebastopol, California was once well known for its apples. But vineyards have now replaced many orchards. Two family owned apple orchards that remain—Walker Apples and Devoto Gardens & Orchards—are part of a farming legacy that continues to adapt to changing times while maintaining a close connection to the land.
