“Shakespeare in the Shadows” Premieres on PBS Stations Nationwide
San Francisco Emmy-nominated Shakespeare in the Shadows, starring Mark Cohen and directed by Joshua Dylan Mellars, premieres on PBS stations across the country in June.
Mark Cohen plays six of Shakespeare’s most intriguing characters. The Bard’s hushed whispers and thundering roars unfold against wild Northern California promontories and stark Bay Area cityscapes.
From the storm tossed, supernatural world of The Tempest to the dank, dark corridors of Macbeth’s Dunsinane, Cohen and the camera collaborate in a celebration of Shakespeare’s poetry.
